The following municipalities have lending hubs to loan out snowshoes and other sporting equipment to enjoy the outdoors this winter 2021:
- Town of Deep River - Snow shoes and sledding equipment can be borrowed, FREE of charge. Click here for details

- City of Pembroke - Residents can rent snowshoes for free this winter for up to a week and will be sanitized and quarantined before being lent out again starting on Friday (January 8th). Contact the Recreation Department at 613-735-6821 ext. 1501 or email recreation@pembroke.ca.
- Town of Arrprior - Equipment available to borrow includes X-country ski sets, Nordic Poles, Snow Shoes, Ice Skates and Helmets. Call 613- 623-7301 to check availability and to reserve.
- Twp of Killaloe, Hagarty and Richards - offers loans of sporting and recreation equipment through the Killaloe & District Public Library. Sporting equipment includes; cross-country skis, snowshoes, toboggans, Call to book items for one week borrowing periods. The equipment is stored off-site, so please allow three days for pick-up. - Twp of Laurentian Valley - currently has Snowshoes and Ice skates both in assortment of sizes. Equipment is currently stored at the Municipal Office at 460 Witt Road, Pembroke, ON. You must be a resident of Laurentian Valley and must fill out Lending Hub Rental Form (see their website). Residents will also be required to provide photo ID Must be 18 years and older
- Twp of McNab/Braeside - snowshoes available free to residents at the municipal office contact Connor at 613.623.5756 x 232 or at programmer@mcnabbraeside.com
- Twp of Head Clara Maria - has hockey nets available for loan. All equipment is available to borrow at no cost, for up to a week at a time. Reservations can be made by calling the office at 613-586-2526 or emailing stephany@headclaramaria.ca to book in advance. A waiver must be signed, and ID provided.
